Brett & I found out December 22, 2008 that we are expecting our first child. We told the great news to our parents on Christmas Day. Confirmation day was January 8th where I was told that "Butterbean's" due date is September 3rd. We are so very excited about our new addition to our family. I have to say that I am thrilled to be a mom and I know Brett will be the best dad ever. His daddy instinct has already kicked in. He is constantly asking me how much water I'm drinking, what I'm eating, and keeps me from over working myself. He asks how his babies are doing (me & the baby...not twins, that we know of, lol).
Our friends and family could not be more excited for us. My family swears up and down that they all knew I was pregnant Christmas Eve. The grandparents are already deciding what they want to be called and debating about the sex of the baby. I get text, phone calls, and emails on a daily basis from the baby's "aunts & uncles" checking on mommy & baby. Our child will be surrounded by people who love and adore it.
This coming Wednesday I will be 8 weeks and on Friday, January 23rd, Brett & I get to go hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. January 24th, will be 5 years since we started dating and I believe its the best 5 year anniversary present either of us could give each other. We received the best Christmas present ever Decemeber 22, 2008.
